I just tested the download and didn't get an error, make sure you have WinRAR or 7zip to unzip and open the files, if you do or it doesn't fix the problem try redownloading it.

thank you for responding. The extraction tool with windows doesn’t work with the file I managed to use the 7zip. Thanks for your help

Hi, bro, your assets are awesome! I bought all series and import them from Unity to unreal engine 5 in my own way (I both use Unity and UE), good job! Look forward to your new pack!

Thank You! I am curious as to how you got it to work but it's up to you if you want to explain or not. Thanks for your support!

(+1)

No problem! First of all, I only used unity package (I checked "FBX" and "ALT FBX" but they need additional modifications for importing to unreal engine, which I'm not good at). Secondly, I used a paid plugin called "UMotion" in unity, which can convert *.anim files with a skeletal mesh container to a fbx file. This fbx file can be imported into unreal engine with a model. Thirdly, UE5.4 can easily auto retarget this fbx file to any standard skeleton mesh in unreal engine.

BTW, do you want me to provide these converted fbx files or UE project to you? These will surely help your selling and UE developers.

Thanks for the explanation, I think this will really help me fix the problem with the FBX files, you don't need to provide the files, I think I can fix the problem now.

Can i use the free demo animations for my videogame ?

Yes, you're free to use the demo clips in your game if you want.

Thank you, i'm also willing to credit you as "MasterPuppet" inside the game itself along with other creators

You're Welcome!

Are there any plans to release a separate package for Unreal Engine? I purchased this pack, but if a separate version for Unreal is released, I will purchase it additionally.

(+1)

No, I plan on Updating the FBX or FBX Alt files to be compatible with Unreal, someone said adding a skeletal mesh should fix the problems, so that's what I plan on trying next, so additional purchases shouldn't be necessary, I don't use Unreal, so I can't promise the fix will work, but I'm willing to keep trying until it's fixed.

I added a mesh to the FBX Animations.

(+1)

Thanks! But even with that mesh, I couldn't import the animation into Unreal.

The error message is: "Mesh contains root_x bone as root but animation doesn't contain the root track. Import failed."

Thanks for adding the root bone so that Unreal can use it, but it looks like the animation doesn't include the information for that bone, which is causing the error.

(1 edit)

Thank you for letting me know, I don't know how much this will help, but the bone "root_x" is more like the Hips or Pelvis, "Root" is the root of the character, I don't know if or how this can be adjusted in Unreal, but if you can this may help fix the issue, let me know if this helps.

Do they work for unreal engine?

(1 edit)

I don't use Unreal Engine, but it seems some people get it to work while others don't, so I'm not really sure, but that's what the FBX and FBX Alt files are intended to be for.

When I import them into blender the skeleton is messed up, how do i prevent this

If half of the bones are flipped vertically, there isn't anything you can do(beside try rotating them), that's just how the animations got exported from Unity, assuming you're talking about the FBX[Alt] files. The animations should still work even though they look weird, if not I'll see if I could fix that.
